Which areas do you cover?

Man for all Seasons mostly operates in and around Plymouth. We can travel west into Cornwall and east towards Exeter. We are able to travel farther for some projects; it’s always worth enquiring.

What happens if my visit lands on a Bank Holiday?

If your visit falls on a Bank Holiday, we will re-schedule your appointment for the following day or next available day you prefer.

What happens if I wish to cancel my visits?

We ask for 30 days written notice if you no longer need our regular services. For any ad hoc jobs we require a minimum of 7 days unless it is under exceptional circumstances.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We are called Man for all Seasons for a reason and will get to you in all weathers! However in extreme conditions we will call to reschedule when necessary.

Do you sell plants?

Yes, we can source plants for you, please do get in touch if you would like to discuss your planting scheme or have something in particular that you would like us to find.

What do you do in the winter?

Winter is one of our busiest times of the year due to our wide range of services and the gardens that we look after, thankfully we keep busy during what can sometimes be the quiter months. Winter months are often an opportunity for larger scale cut backs, clearance and pruning and we do offer a pressure washing and waste management service if required.

Garden design

We’re trying to sell our house and think the garden’s letting it down. Can you help?

We would love to help. Front gardens are especially crucial in making great first impressions, and a beautiful back garden can be what clinches the sale. Give us a call and we’ll come round to take a look.

How long does a garden design project take?

This depends on your bespoke requirements and what you are looking to achieve, but generally we have a 6 month wait list for garden design projects. If you would like something created next year then please do get in touch sooner rather than later to book your consultation. On-site work times range from 3 days for small courtyard gardens all the way up to 14 weeks and beyond for larger projects if needed. My lawn is looking pretty tired and beyond rescue. What’s your advice?

We’ve rescued many a lawn from the brink of death! So even if you think it’s unsalvageable, we have plenty of tricks up our sleeve to bring your lawn back to life. Which will almost definitely end up costing you a lot less than replacing it.

All I need is someone to cut my lawn occasionally. Do you offer basic services like this?

Absolutely, yes! This kind of work is our bread and butter so it’s an important part of the business. We run a regular grass-cutting round and we can always fit in more customers, so get in touch to grab your space.
